As a result of COVID-19 and its impact on the City, the duration of this state of emergency commenced on March 24, 2020 and initially continued until March 30, 2020, and thereafter extended every seven (7) days until December 28, 2020. Given the ongoing nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is necessary to extend the state of emergency for an additional seven (7) days as permitted by Tennessee law. Accordingly, this state of emergency is hereby renewed until January 4, 2021 unless otherwise extended.
