Residents, the Piperton Police Department strives to work with its citizens in making this a safer community for all.  The Piperton Police Department wishes to make you all aware of a new law that went into effect on July 1, 2019.  As most know, the legislation was hard at work in Nashville passing over 140 new laws in an effort to make Tennessee a safer place.  Because of this, Tennessee passed a law now known as “Hands Free”.  Nowadays, vehicles are equipped with so much technology and has become a part of our daily lives that it causes a distraction while trying to drive or control an automobile which puts lives at risk.  Please be aware of the new Hands Free Law and be safe on the roadways.
